Obituary for Mary E. Swannie (Edler)
Mary E. (Edler) Swannie, 89, widow of Kenneth D. Swannie, of Pennsburg, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Adolph J. and Annamay (Shanahan)Edler.
Mary’s greatest passion was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She brought beauty to the community around her by her use of color and whimsy in her sewing and quilting projects.
Surviving are her seven children, Daniel S. Swannie, Paul N. Swannie, Christine L. Swannie, Mark K. Swannie, Holly E., wife of George White, Peter R. Swannie, and Laura V., wife of Joseph O’Reilly; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Adolph Edler.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by two brothers, Alfred Edler and John P. Edler.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
