Obituary for Joyce A. Jabs-Hunter

Joyce A. (Frees) Jabs-Hunter, 68, wife of John F. Hunter and the late William F. Jabs, Jr., of Hereford, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.

Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Ludwig) Frees.

She worked for the former French’s Mustard of Souderton from 1976 to 1992, she then retired in 2008 from Burks Company of Glaxo-Smith Kline of Collegeville, where she was a site supervisor.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 10 years, are children, William F. Jabs, III and wife, Gwen of Middletown, DE, Brian Jabs and wife, Tina of Schwenksville; Brenda, wife of Lanny Diehl of Red Hill; and Christine Focht and companion, Phil Wasko of Alburtis; step-daughters, Jo-Anne, wife of Jon Wrenne of Trappe and Kara-Lynn Hunter of Symrna, GA; siblings, James Frees of Aaronsburg and Maryellen, wife of Lee Harptser of Julian, PA; 7 grandchildren, Megan, Griffin, Riley, Garry, Jay, Kevin and Ashley; 6 step-grandchildren, Jerry, Chris, Ally, Joshua, Tabetha and Samanatha and 5 step-great-grandchildren, Logan, Patrick, Bailey, Mason and Kiera.

A celebration of life service will be from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Pizza Como Pub, 468 Pottstown Ave, Pennsburg, PA. Burial will be private in New Goshenhoppen Cemetery, East Greenville, PA.
