Obituary for Nancy M. Rynhart (Miller)

Nancy M. (Miller) Rynhart, 97, widow of John S. Rynhart, of Perkiomenville, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Pennsburg Manor.

Born in Joplin, MO on July 13, 1920, she was the daughter of the late E. Ray and Mabelle (Farwell) Miller.

She graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City, KS in 1937. She and Jack were in the big bands together, Dad was trombone and Mom was the singer in the band. Mom also was a ballet dancer and a gymnast in lower school.

Nancy studied art under Lois Rapp and Dorla Dean Slider. She belonged to the American Watercolor Society (AWS) and served as president of the Norristown Art League in Pennsylvania during her tenure.

Along with her husband Jack, she was an avid birder and enjoyed the mountains and the shore.

Surviving are four sons, John Rynhart II of Attica, KS; Dane Rynhart and partner, Judy Blake of Boulder, CO; Scott Rynhart of Beaufort, SC and Terry Rynhart and wife, Janice of Orangeville, PA; five grandchildren, Jeff and David Rynhart, Tara Varner, Brett Rynhart and Leslie Rynhart; and a two great-grandchildren,Beatrice Varner and Kerry Rynhart.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother, Donald Miller and a sister, Marge Miller.
