Obituary for Anna I. Hartranft (Althouse)
Anna I. (Althouse) Hartranft, 71, of Macungie, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest after a recent illness. She was the wife of the late James A. Sr., who passed away in 2015 and Randall R. Schuler.
She was born in Hereford, a daughter of the late James and Ella (Krauss) Althouse. Anna was a graduate Upper Perkiomen High School and worked as a teacher’s aide at Hereford Elementary School before retiring. Former Chief of Community Ambulance of Green Lane.
Anna dedicated her life to helping others. She was a Former Chief of Community Ambulance of Green Lane.
She is survived by her children: Rose Kerr, of Macungie; James A. Hartranft Jr., of Bechtelsville, and Mark Hartranft, of Macungie; siblings: Roy Althouse and wife Pat and family, of Ellenville, NY and Lyla Derr and husband Ronnie, of Allentown; 8 grandchildren 8, 4 great-children; half-children: James Hunsberger and wife Sally , Ronnie Hartranft and wife Debbie, and Maryann Hartranft. Numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a half-daughter, Betty Hartranft.
