Obituary for Anna M. Rutkowski (Suder)

Anna Mary (Suder) Rutkowski, of Red Hill, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at St. Mary Manor in Lansdale. She was 83 years old.

She was born in Lubisa, Slovakia to the late Michael and Anna (Kridla) Suder.

She was the devoted wife of Thaddeus D. Rutkowski, Sr., (Hun) sharing almost 62 years of marriage together.

She was the loving mother to her four children, Michael Rutkowski, Stanley Rutkowski and wife, Debra, Thaddeus “Ted” Rutkowski, Jr. and Suzanne, wife of Alan Prager; 8 grandchildren (Dustin, Max, Madison, Josiah, Abigail, Jonathan, Samuel & Matthew); and one great-grandchild. Along with two step grandchildren Erika Hammond, wife of Eric; Jared Clemons, and wife Andrea; and seven step great-grandchildren. Anna was a beloved Aunt, Great-Aunt, Cousin to many in the United States, Canada, and Slovakia.

She is predeceased by her sister, Mary Kridla; and a brother, Joseph Suder.

Anna was a 1957 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia. Besides being a one-of-a-kind homemaker, she was employed by Plummer Precision Optics in Pennsburg for many years and went on to work as an inspector for Ford Electronics in Lansdale, retiring in 1999.

A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Philip Neri R.C. Church in Pennsburg, where she volunteered her time at the annual carnival, and other various church ministries.

During retirement, besides volunteering at the church, she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, spending time with friends and family, avid reader, taking extended walks, and going on many cruises with her husband and friends.

Anna was known for her exceptional cooking and baking, especially her delicious Slovak and Polish recipes (Famous for her Pierogies). She always welcomed everyone in to her home, as family. Her genuine caring and willingness to help everyone at a moment’s notice was her Christian way of life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 24th at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with the burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church prior to Mass.
