Obituary for Barbara Ann Berger
Barbara Ann Berger, 60, of Birdsboro, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Reading Hospital.
Born on January 17, 1960 in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Schwenk) Berger.
Barb was a 1978 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and also received a degree in inventory management. Barb was employed at Walmart, working at both the East Greenville and Bechtelsville locations.
Barb was a faithful and active member of Shepherd of the Hills Church in Bechtelsville. She was the supervisor of the church book store, regularly helped out with Sunday morning services, helped out with vacation bible school and taught Sunday school. She also graduated from the church’s Bible College in 2019 and proudly earned a certificate of Christian Ministry. Beyond her involvement with her church, she was active in the Boyertown Relay for Life.
Barb touched many people’s lives and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.
Surviving are her brother, Arthur Berger and wife Gail of Barto and their three children, Laura, Beth and Arthur. Jr. ; her sister, Marie Hunsberger of Birdsboro and her three children, Kimberly, Victoria and Janel; and her godson, Christopher. She is also survived by many friends through her church and Walmart.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Shepherd of the Hills, 527 Hoffmansville Rd., Bechtelsville, PA 19505 with the Rev. Collin Monger officiating. A burial will follow in Oley Union Cemetery, Spangsville. A visitation will be held from 9 to 9:45 AM at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA.
