Obituary for Barbara H. Stevens (Hilliard)
Barbara H. (Hilliard) Stevens, 79, of Perkiomenville, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at her home. She was the wife of the late Jeremy B. Stevens, sharing 41 years of marriage together before his passing in 2014.
Born in Stroudsburg, PA on October 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Mary (Andress) Hilliard.
She was a graduate of Stroudsburg High School and then went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Education from East Stroudsburg University. She primarily taught 12th grade English at North Penn High School and was also a substitute teacher for Upper Perkiomen High School.
In addition to her passion for teaching, she enjoyed reading and traveling.
Surviving are her son, Jeremy “Sean” Stevens and wife, Brook Brennan of Durham, NC; her grandson, Colin Stevens; and her sister, Shirley Harnish of New York.
