Hank began a career in International Regulatory Pharmaceuticals, selling drug patents all over the world for Squibb Corporation first in New Brunswick, and then Lawrenceville, NJ. After working for Johnson & Johnson and Ortho Pharmaceuticals, he retired in 1988 and moved to Charlottesville, Virginia.

Hank was a Master Gardener and was particularly fond of orchids. He had an orchid greenhouse for many years and worked as a Garden Guide at Monticello while still living in Charlottesville, VA. He also loved to travel and took amazing trips all over the world.
