Obituary for Bernardine L. Minner (Miller)
Bernardine L. (Miller) Minner, 94, of Hellertown, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Fountain Hill. She was the loving wife of the late Leo A. Minner.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Gertrude (Fichter) Miller.
Bernardine was a wonderful homemaker and devoted wife, a caring mother of her eight children, and a beloved grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles and most importantly, spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. Philip Neri R.C. Church in Pennsburg.
Surviving are her eight children, Robert Minner and wife, Carol, Richard Minner, David Minner, Louise Schott and husband, David, Nancy Henderson and husband, Michael, Diane Roos and husband, David, Linda Schott and husband, Keith and Patty Souders and husband, Todd; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Peter, Norman and Richard Miller. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by sisters, Marie Schueck and Lorraine Rhoads; and a great-grandson, Zachary Minner.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with a burial following in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 to 10:45 AM at the church prior to mass. A night before viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St, East Greenville, PA 18041 from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. The Rosary will be said at 7:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (www.chop.edu) .
