Obituary for Boyd B. Baughman
Boyd B. “Barry” Baughman, 79, formerly of Perkiomenville, passed away on November 25, 2021 at Moravian Manor. He was the widower of Dianne H. (Harbison) Baughman, who passed away on July 31, 2020 after 57 years of marriage.
He was born in Latrobe, PA, the son of the late Boyd L. and Marjorie (Jones) Baughman. Barry graduated from Bedford High School and attended Indiana Univ. of Pennsylvania and Millersville University before enlisting in the Air Force. Barry was a 20-year Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge he worked as a computer engineer for Bell Atlantic and Decision 1 before retiring.
He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg, PA. He also served as the Mayor of Green Lane in the late 80s.
Surviving are his eight children, Boyd Baughman and wife, Dianna of Biloxi, MS, Bridget Baughman of Lancaster, Gary Baughman and wife, Jenny of Harleysville, Laurie Baughman of Lancaster, Patti Martin and husband, Steve of Green Lane, Mark Baughman and wife, Kristy of Birdsboro, Deanna Martin and husband, Brad of Bothell, WA, and Michaela Buck of Pennsburg; 11 grandchildren, Maureen, Laura, Chrissy, Gage, Conor, Darragh, Cael, Caeden, Carter, Jeffrey and Patrick; two nieces: Debbie Hoover and Diane Cox, both in Kansas. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Logan.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. Officiating will be Rev. Anthony Hangholt. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to honor his daughter, Bridget, to the Alzheimer’s Association of the Delaware Valley, 399 Market St #250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
