Obituary for Christopher Straup
Christopher B. Straup, husband of Shannon (Hare) Straup, of Pennsburg, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 unexpectedly from natural causes at age 45.
He was born in Hatboro on September 20, 1974 to Gerald Straup and the late Mary (Gambino) Straup. Chris graduated Hatboro-Horsham High School in 1992 and Delaware Valley University in 1998. A chemist, he was recently employed by GSK, Collegeville, PA.
Chris was a loving and devoted husband, father and son. In addition to his wife of twenty-one years and his father, he leaves to cherish his memory his daughters: Samantha and Sarah; siblings: Connie Snedeker and husband Robert and Michael Rogers and wife Denise.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. Officiating will be Pastor John Buckley. Viewing will be from 10-12 PM. Burial will be in New Goshenhoppen UCC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy by visiting www.knowsudepnow.org.
