Obituary for Daniel Kile

Daniel Kile, 74, of Pennsburg, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital Upper Bucks Campus. He was husband of Carol D. (Wampole) Kile, with whom he shared almost 40 years of marriage.

Born in Lansdale, he was one of two sons born to Daniel A. Jr. and Florence Marie “Floss” (Nolen) Kile. He was a 1967 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School. Dan served in the Army during the Vietnam War being stationed in Alaska. He was employed as a mechanic and groundskeeper at Merck before retiring.
Dan was a past Fire Chief at Green Lane Fire Company and past Fire Marshall at Marlborough Township. He was a member of the American Legion, Palm, PA and VFW, Red Hill, PA and the NRA. He loved spending time with his family. He also loved Indy, Nascar and Harley Davidson Nitro Bike Racing. He and Carol loved going to Casinos and were season ticket holders of Penn State Football.

He is also survived by his children: Stacy, wife of Gordon Kulp Jr., of Gilbertsville; Hope Rickert of Chester Springs; Robert Nester Jr. and companion Tawana, of Lansdale; brother, William Kile and wife Sherry; of Barto; grandchildren: Alyssa Davis and husband Colby, Matthew Kulp and wife Allison, Nathan, Benjamin and Alexander Troche, Desiree Nester, Destiny Nester and companion Walter Nelson, Adrianna and Isabella Nester; great-grandchildren: Xavier Rickert, Riley and Anthony Troche, Hazel Troche, Riley Jones and Logan Kulp, and Walter Nelson III; nephews: Jarrod Kile and wife Manjit, Adam Kile and wife Sandy and Ryan Kile and companion Ashley.

A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, December 14, 2023 from 6-8 PM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA and on Friday from 10-11 am. A service will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be in St. Mark’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Green Lane Fire Company, PO Box 97, Green Lane, PA 18054 or a local charity of your choice.
