On the evening of August 20th 2021 Dolores Albanese quietly passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 90 years old. Dolores Ann (Spina) Albanese was born to Edward and Anna Spina of West 3rd Avenue. She attended and graduated from St. Mathews Catholic school in 1948, was an early member of SS Cosmas & Damian and later St. Philip Neri. She was married for 55 years to her lifelong partner Philip Peter Albanese of West 12th Avenue, a World War II veteran who passed away in 2005. Together their children are Philip, Richard and wife Nancy, Gregory and wife Colleen and Pascal and wife Jeanie. Their grandchildren are Maeve and husband James, Zachary, Cecilia, Gillian, Ella and Montgomery along with one great grandchild, Winifred. Dolores had two sisters and is survived by Carol Mashintonio. Her other sister Audrey Gambone is predeceased.

Dolores was well known and universally loved by family members and relatives, close friends, and countless acquaintances along the way. She will be greatly missed by anyone and everyone who ever knew her. A Mass and gathering of friends is currently being planned for a future upcoming memorial service that will be announced to all.
