Obituary for Donald F. "Don" Weldon

Donald F. Weldon, 62 of Perkiomenville, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020. He was the loving husband of Cheryl R. (Oliver) Weldon, with whom he would have shared 42 years of marriage with on April 8, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia on October 20, 1957, he was the son of Regina G. (Waters) Weldon of Perkiomenville and the late Henry J. Weldon, Jr.

Don was a 1975 graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School and was currently employed with Penndot; a job he loved.

Don loved being outdoors, and had many hobbies including fishing, hunting, boating and playing his guitar.

He was also an avid sports fan, following all Philadelphia sports teams. But above all, he was a family man with a kind heart who loved spending time with his family, worked hard to provide them with everything they needed and cared for them more than anything. He was a wonderful husband and father to his children.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his two children, Steven Weldon (Kaylee) and Jenna Weldon; four sisters, Kathleen Malchitsky (the late, Joseph), Janis Gardner (Tim), Patricia Pachella (Lou) and Deborah Marren (Mike); two brothers, Joseph Weldon and Ronald Weldon (Susan); and 14 nieces and nephews.

Due to the unprecedented circumstances presented by the COVID-19, Don’s service will be private for immediate family and a celebration of life may be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. Offer sympathy and condolences at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don’s memory to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or at www.dementiasociety.org.
