Obituary for Doris J. Gorman (Bambino)
Doris J. (Bambino) Gorman, 88, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Richard H. Gorman, sharing 64 years of marriage before his passing in October 2022.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Arcadio and Clotilda (Taraschi) Bambino.
Prior to becoming a wonderful homemaker and raising her three children, Doris was employed at the former Keystone Transformer in Pennsburg and Perkiomen Knitting Mill in East Greenville.
Doris enjoyed crocheting and knitting and in her later years, she found interest in researching her genealogy. Through her diligent research, she was able to find family in Italy, with whom she was ultimately able to visit.
Surviving are her three children, Christine McNamara, Michael Gorman and wife, Jennifer and Christopher Gorman and wife, Tara; four grandchildren, Kirsten, Abigail, Daniel and Sarah; sisters, Barbara Cole and Rose Loielo; and brothers, Carmen and Nino Bambino.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by siblings, Adeline Dean and Edmund Bambino.
A Mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the church prior to mass. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA.
