Obituary for Doris A. Little (Wigg)

Doris A. (Wigg) Little, 84, of Zieglerville, passed away peacefully Friday, April 10, 2020 at home in Harleysville with her loving husband by her side following a long battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Robert L. Little, sharing 64 years of marriage together.

Born in Pottstown on October 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Angeline (D’errico) Wigg.

Doris was a graduate of East Greenville High School and held various jobs throughout her life. In her earlier years she was employed at Lansdale Tube in Lansdale, Sparks in Schwenksville and NW Controls in Salford.
She drove a school bus for Perkiomen Valley School District, and most recently worked as a bookkeeper for Robert E. Little Inc. She spent her free time volunteering for Meals on Wheels in Schwenksville. While living in Cape Coral, FL., she enjoyed transporting people to doctor appointments.

Doris was a faithful member of Peace in Zion in Zieglerville and in her spare time enjoyed quilting and spending time at the shore in Cape May Court House.

Surviving along with her husband are three sons, Timothy R. Little and wife, Laurie of Zieglerville, Michael F. Little and wife, Diane of Perkiomenville and David L. Little and wife Jo of Perkiomenville; four grandchildren, Jennifer Miracola and husband, Charlie, Laura Mattiuz and husband, Chris, Justin Little and wife, Becky and Emily Little; and five great-grandchildren, Riley, Alex, Autumn, Lucas and Amelia.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Frederick “Dick” Wigg.

Due to the unprecedented circumstances presented by the COVID-19, Doris’s funeral will be private for immediate family only. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
