Obituary for Doris E. McCurdy (Shaffer)
Doris E. McCurdy, 93, passed away on December 24, 2022 at Sanatoga Center. She was the wife of the late Gerald McCurdy Sr.
Born in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Romane Shaffer. She was a graduate of Norristown High School and worked for many years at Allenwood Steel Company.
Surviving are a grandson, Michael S. McCurdy; great-granddaughter, Lily McCurdy; and sister, Jean, widow of Charles Shuler; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald “Jerry” McCurdy Jr., brother, Sonny Shaffer and step-mother, Elsie Shaffer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 am at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
