Obituary for Dorothy M. Moyer (Heins)
Dorothy M. (Heins) Moyer, 93, formerly of East Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in Frederick Living. She was the wife of the late Carl E. Moyer, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.
She was born in Pennsburg, the daughter of the late Elmer H. and Kathryn (Brendlinger) Heins. She was a graduate of Pennsburg High School and Allentown Business School. Mrs. Moyer was employed for 30 years as a secretary with Red Hill Grinding Wheel and Plummer Precision Optics before retiring in 1991.
Dorothy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hill, PA. She was also a member and volunteer of the East Greenville Senior Center and Pennsburg Community Thrift-Shoppe. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoyed oil painting.
She is survived by a daughter, Anne White and her husband John, of Hampton Bays, NY; son, Thomas C. Moyer, of Arvada, CO; and grandson, Brandon White, of Boston, MA.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Moritz. Calling time will be from 10-11 AM. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Red Hill, PA.
