Obituary for Edith E. Young (Warriner)

Edith E. (Warriner) Young, 75, of Schwenksville, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late LeRoy W. Young, sharing 53 years of marriage together before his passing in 2018.

Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Eleanor (Jeffries) Warriner.

Edith graduated with her husband from Souderton High School in 1962 and then attended and graduated from Peirce Business School in Philadelphia in 1965.

Edith was an Executive Assistant at Amchem Products/Henkel Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 2001 to care for her two grandsons, Joshua and Nicholas.

She was a faithful member of Advent Lutheran Church in Harleysville and a member of the Red Hat Society, becoming Queen of her Chapter.

Edith was a collector of Longaberger baskets and pottery and was an avid interior decorator.

Surviving are her son, Jeffrey L. Young and wife, Camilla of Collegeville; two grandsons, Joshua W. Young of Collgeville and Nicholas A. Young of Collegeville ; and her brother, Herbert “Herbie” Warriner and wife, Loretta of Red Hill.

Due to the unprecedented circumstances presented by the COVID-19 and social distancing, we regret to inform you that the date for public calling hours and celebration of Edith’s life will be postponed to a later date. Once a date has been determined we will make every effort to provide adequate notice to all.
