Edward “Bruce” Cassel, 83, of Green Lane, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020. He was the significant other of Sherrie L. Cook, sharing 12 years together.

Born in Harleysville, was the son of the late Raymond G. and Pearl F. (Rosenberger) Cassel

Bruce owned and operated Bucks Mont Dry Wall in Green Lane for over 20 years. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Bruce was an avid golfer, getting his first hole in one this year. He also raced his #57 car at Grand View Speedway. He could be found frequenting Chiaro’s and Vince and Friend’s and was also known for his bantering about politics with friends. Most importantly, Bruce was known to have a huge heart and would take the shirt off of his back for anyone.

Along with Sherrie, he will be missed by his two daughters, Jackie and Jennine Cassel; his brother, Bobby; his sister Gloria; and his best friend, Harry “Bud” Stone. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenny.

Services will be private at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville. Please offer sympathy at

Due to his nature of always wanting to help people, the family asks for donations to be made to the Open Link, 452 Penn St, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
