Obituary for Fay A. Jakoby (Young)
Fay Annette Jakoby, 82, of Gilberstville, PA, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Pennsburg Manor. She was the wife of William Jakoby for 65 years, married on January 14, 1956.
She was born in Bedford, Blair County, Pa, a daughter of the late Cyril Luther and Laura Armeda (Younker) Young. Fay worked for twenty years in production with Artistic Glass Co., until retiring in 2007.
She was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, East Greenville, PA. Fay was an accomplished baker of beautiful wedding and special occasion cakes. She also loved gardening and flowers as well as spending time with her adoring family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Ronald William Jakoby, husband of Cynthia, of Barto; Gary Jakoby, husband of Connie, of Gilberstville; Dale Jakoby, husband of Linda, of Hamburg; two sisters: Janice Muller, widow of William, of Phoenixville; and Iris Blanche, widow of Frank, of Royersford; Sister-in-Law, Marilyn Young, widow of Cyril, of Green Lane; two grandchildren: Brian John Jakoby, husband of Mallory, and Nicole Marie Jakoby; two great-grandchildren: Luke William and Adalyn Nicole Jakoby; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings: Patricia Jones, Nancy Trescott, and Cyril Young Jr.
