Obituary for Faye M. Barnett (Gallagher)
Faye M. Barnett, formerly of Phoenixville, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown, PA at age 94. She was the widow of William J. Barnett Sr.
Born in Leighton, PA, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Sadie (Gombert) Gallagher. She was a 1945 graduate of Phoenixville High School and worked as a seamstress at Spring City Knitting Company for 20 years.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Faye was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption R.C. Church, Phoenixville, PA, where she also was a member of its Legion of Mary. She also was a member of the Center at Spring Street, Boyertown, PA.
Faye is survived by her children: Donna M. Strouse and husband Dennis, of Phoenixville; William J. Jr. and wife Alice; of Lake Mary, FL; Dennis R. Barnett and wife Diane, of Kimberton; Thomas P. Barnett and wife Tina; of Gilbertsville; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by grandchildren: Jennifer and Joshua Strouse and sister, Sophie Lawrence. There are also many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta R.C. Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473. Calling time will be at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
