Obituary for Felicity Madge Lodewyk (Acker)

Felicity Madge (Acker) Lodewyk, 50, of Quakertown, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Paoli Hospital. She was the loving fiancé of Steven A. Herrmann.

Born in Cape Town, South Africa, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Madge (Linderoth) Acker.

She spent many years traveling through South Africa, Australia and Ireland before she found comfort in the United States. During her time in the United States, besides finding and falling in love with her fiancé, she enjoyed hiking, visiting Beltsville Lakes and other lakes throughout the Poconos; she enjoyed watching documentaries about all the national parks she someday wanted to visit with Steven; and she also enjoyed music and cooking and trying new recipes from around the world. One of her favorite things to do was walk her little dog Winston with Steven.

She was a woman of great faith and enjoyed attending Mass at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church.

Surviving along with her fiancé are her sister, Sharron Botha, wife of Daryl of Melbourne, Australia; a brother, Donovan Acker of Cape Town, South Africa; and nieces, Kim Parker and Tamsyn Botha of Melbourne, Australia.

Felicity gave in death as she gave in life. Her final act was to give the gift of life to four people through organ donation.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church, 1321 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the church prior to mass. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Avenue Sellersville, PA 18960.
