Obituary for Frances M. "Penny" Hetrick (Hetrick)

Frances M. “Penny” Hetrick, wife of the late Thomas R. Hetrick, formerly of Zionsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Weston Care Center, Hellertown, PA. She was 92.

Penny was born in East Greenville to the late Herman N. and Eva May (Kulp) Hetrick. She was employed as a folder and table worker for over twenty years at Perkiomen Knitting Mill and Royal Manufacturing in Emmaus.

She was a member of Old Zionsville United Church of Christ. She took great pride in keeping house, flower gardening, baking and entertaining guests.

She is survived by her son, Dale L., husband of Laura J. Hetrick, of Emmaus; two grandchildren: Todd Hetrick and his fiancé Leslie, of Macungie and Tricia Ritter and her husband John, of Emmaus; great-grandchildren: Jaydin, Kendall, Dillon, Austin, Christopher, Haleigh, Addy, JR and Trent. Sister: Alma, widow of Alan Carl, of Palm, PA Step-Grandchildren: Jessica and Morgan and Step-Great Grandchildren: Forrest and Olivia.

She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony T. “Tony” Hetrick and sisters: Beatrice Kohler, Violet Haberle and husband Victor, and Kathryn Miller; brothers: Norman Hetrick, Homer Hetrick and his wife Virginia.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. Officiating will be Rev. Lori A. Esslinger. Viewing will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM. Social distancing and masks will be required for entry. Burial will be in Old Zionsville UCC Cemetery.
