Obituary for George Rousis Sr.
George Rousis Sr., 76, of Bally, PA passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 after a sudden illness. He was the husband of Renee E. (Hartzell) Rousis, with whom he shared forty-nine years of marriage.
He was born on February 1, 1943 one of ten children of the late Nicolas D. and Kathryn (Shrawder) Rousis. He was a 1961 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School. He was an Army veteran. George was employed by Verizon Telephone as an installer/repairman and later as a splicer before his retirement. A lifelong outdoorsman, he enjoyed both hunting and fishing. George was also a life member of the NRA.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his sons: George Jr. and his wife Annie, Jeremiah, and Bradley and his wife Crystal; grandchildren: Eleni, Alexi, Logan and Lilly; siblings: Kathryn, wife of the late Ross O’Neal; Maria, wife of Frank Cooley; John, husband of Carol Rousis; Anastasia “Tessie”, wife of the late Ken Kratzer; Julia Bossert; Sophia Weber; and Christine “Tina” Roush and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Nicolas and Joseph.
