Obituary for Gertrude G. Snyder (Bauer)
Gertrude G. (Bauer) Snyder, 97, of Bally, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. She was the loving wife of the late Harold F. Snyder, sharing 62 years of marriage together before his passing in October of 2009.
Born in Upper Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Bumm) Bauer.
Gertrude was a cook at various restaurants in Bally area in addition to raising her family. She was a loving mother and mammy to her children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to spend time with them; she had a way to make everyone feel special.
She was a faithful and lifetime member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Bally and a familiar face at the Bally Senior Center. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed doing word search puzzles.
Surviving are her four children, John Snyder and wife, Antoinette of Barto, Joanne Johnson (Late husband, Randy) of Bally, Darlene Moyer and husband, Perry of Barto, and Dorothy Gehringer and husband, Joseph of Barto; six grandchildren, Clinton, Michael, Pamela, Scott, Stacy and Matthew; nine great-grandchildren, Eric, Cody, Gabrielle, Annika, Andrew, Kolton, Ryan, Evan and Aaron; and many nieces and nephews. In addition, her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a granddaughter, Charlotte; five brothers and four sisters.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 PM on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA 19503 with a burial following in church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11:45 AM. You may offer condolences and share memories at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com
