Obituary for Hailey Larae Mientus

Our beautiful, warrior princess daughter, Hailey Larae Mientus, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 after battling a Wilms Tumor for four years, a type of childhood cancer that started in her kidneys and spread to her lungs.

Hailey was loved fiercely by her parents Michael and Emily Mientus and her two big brothers, Michael and Parker who surrounded her with love and comfort as she left this world. Hailey faced pediatric cancer with a resilience and fortitude that inspired all who knew of her story.

Hailey was a social butterfly, spunky and full of energy; taking center stage whenever there was someone around to watch her dance or sing. If you would ask Hailey what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would normally answer with “superstar” or “rockstar”. She loved reading, swimming, learning new instruments and she especially loved Halloween and Christmas.

She made an instant impact on everyone who met her and her loving spirit will be remembered forever.

Hailey will also be missed dearly by her maternal grandparents, Kip and Pamela Anderson; paternal grandparents, Michael and Carolyn Mientus; many aunts, uncles, and a loving large extended family.

A viewing for Hailey will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday night, November 8, 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. A second viewing will be held the next morning, Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8667 Windom Dr, Coopersburg, PA 18036 with a funeral service following at 11 AM. A burial will take place in Frieden’s Union Cemetery in Sumneytown, PA.

If you wish to donate in Hailey’s honor, the family requests donations to PCFLV (Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley) online at pcflv.org or to the Helping Hearts for Heroic Hailey gofundme page at https://gofund.me/ec9efe4c to help offset expenses.
