Obituary for Helen Joann Styer (Walter)
Helen Joann (Walter) Styer, 73, of Barto, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the loving wife of Eugene A. Styer, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Proffitt) Walter.
She was a 1968 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and worked as a Section Chief Phlebotomist at St. Luke’s Hospital in Quakertown for over 20 years before retiring.
Helen loved to sew, especially quilts that were given to children in need. She also enjoyed cooking, going to the casino and most importantly, spending time with her family, her dog, Roxy and two cats. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Joshua Saul; sister, Judy Weiss, widow of Kurt; brother, John Walter and wife, Barbara; niece and nephews, Kristy and John Walter and Kent and Matthew Weiss; great-nephews, Kyle and Connor; and her close friend, Ronald Day.
