Obituary for Helen L. Fogel (Bogdon)
Helen L. (Bogdon) Fogel, 92, of Richlandtown, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Phoebe Richland. She was the loving wife of the late Stephen Fogel, Sr.
She was born on July 21, 1927 in Nanticoke to the late Benjamin and Anna (Szyski) Bogdon.
Helen was a seamstress working for Sumneytown Pants Factory for many years, Pennsburg Pants Factory for 29 years and retiring from Boyertown Pants Factory in 2008. After retirement, she became a wonderful caregiver to many of her family members.
She was a member of St. Philip Neri in Pennsburg and enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
Surviving are her three children: Loretta M. Wrschka, wife of Paul of Harleysville; Stephen Fogel, Jr. and wife, Melanie of Macungie; and Anne M. Greenawalt, wife of Randy of Pennsburg; five grandchildren: Ryan Fogel and wife, Krista; Todd Fogel; Christopher Bartholomew and wife, Alexis; Stacy Blair, wife of Jason; and Alicia Mauro, wife of Matthew; 15 great-grandchildren: Owen and Lydia Fogel; Amberlee, London, Elijah, Jaida and Zion Barthlomew; Larynn, Rachel, Hannah, Josiah and Julia Blair; and Isabella, Gabriel and Lilianna Mauro; and a sister, Stella Rozanski.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019 Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Jason Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
