Obituary for Helen M. Wetzel (Freimann)
Helen M. Wetzel, 94, of Barto, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at her home. She was the widow of the late Harry B.F. Wetzel, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage.
She was born in Washington Two., Berks County to the late John and Mary E. (Gilberg) Freimann. Helen was a homemaker who also enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and cross stitching. She also loved puzzles adult coloring book and word searches. She was lifelong member of St. Peter’s Union Church in Macungie. She also was a member of Boyertown Multi-Service Senior Center, Boyertown, PA and the Silver Sneakers of Final Results Fitness, Boyertown, PA.
Surviving are her children: Perry Wetzel of Linfield; Jerry Wetzel and his wife Debra, of Boyertown; Beverly Melcher, of Barto; Barney Wetzel and his wife Cheryl, of Birdsboro; Linda Wetzel, of Phoenixville; and Diana Dugan and her husband Paul, of Barto; brother, Rudolph Freimann and his wife Janice, of Boyertown; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Wetzel and daughter, Donna Kramer.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. Calling time will be from 9:30 to 11 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Sorcek. Burial will be in St. Peters Union Cemetery.
