Obituary for Henry Schmidenberg
Henry Schmidenberg, of Telford, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at his home surrounded
by family. He was 81 years old. He was the loving husband, of Marjorie J. (Freed) Schmidenberg, sharing
58 years of marriage together.
Born in Green Lane, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Schmidenberg and Emily (Jabs) Evans.
Henry was a 1958 graduate of Boyertown High School where he was later honored as a Hall of Fame Football player. He worked as a Road Forman for 30 years for Salford Township. Prior he worked at Firestone in Pottstown for 18 years.
Henry was also a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was a member of Ridge Valley United Church of Christ in Sellersville. In his younger days he enjoyed tree trimming work with his brother Jim. He was always active outdoors with chopping wood for his firewood sales. And loved being surrounded by his family.
Surviving along with his wife, are his three children, Robert Stoeckle and wife, Marianne of Quakertown, Sandra, wife of Dave Heitz of Sellersville, PA, Suzanne Bateman and Roger Frederick of Sellersville, PA;
Grandchildren: Ginger, wife of David Barrilli, Arion Stoeckle, Lindsey, wife of Andrew Killackey, Austin Bateman, Kelsey Bateman and great grandson Cayden Killackey.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, James & Robert Schmidenberg and grandson Bradley Hess.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 am on Friday Nov 19, 2021, at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home at 222 Washington St, East Greenville, PA 18041, where friends may call for visiting hours from 10-11. Burial will follow at St Paul’s Lutheran Church at 1244 St Paul’s Church Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Ridge Valley United Church
