Obituary for Irene A. Leister (Arenz)
Irene A. "Re" (Arenz) Leister, of Red Hill, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem. She was 85 years old. She was the wife of the late, Ronald F. “Ronnie” Leister with whom she shared 47 years of marriage with before his passing in 2017.
Born in Willow Grove, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Evelyn (Smith) Arenz.
Re worked in Food Service for many years before retirement.
She is survived by a son, George Haines, Jr.; three step-children, Ronald F. Leister, Jr. and wife, Donna, Randy Leister and Deborah Clark and husband, Joseph; a sister, Nancy Throm and husband, Jim; one grandson; two great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, Gary Haines; sisters, Laurel Braun, Joan Wurst and Beverly Roberts; and brothers, Richard and Anthony “Robert” Arenz.
