Obituary for Janet Harrison (Hamlin)
Janet (Hamlin) Harrison, 80, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Dock Terrace.
Janet was born in Sayre, PA to her parents William and Marge (Joseph) Hamlin.
She married the love her life, Raymond A. Harrison in 1971 and led a life of true love and sacrifice for 52 years. Janet was Ray’s better half and brought the best out of him. She was organized, caring, intelligent, generous and the most supportive wife.
After graduating from Troy High School, she went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Mansfield State College. Janet was employed as a computer programmer at Leeds & Northrup for many years and then eventually worked for the former software company, Intermetrics for 16 years before retiring.
Janet held a strong faith and enjoyed her time attending New Goshenhoppen United Church Christ and being involved in the church library. She also was involved with activities at Dock Woods and enjoyed doing genealogy research.
Throughout Janet’s illness, Ray’s unwavering presence, perseverance, and care provided her with comfort, strength and peace leading up to her last days. While Janet has left this world, her memory and legacy will forever reside in the hearts of her husband and family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three brothers, Don Hamlin and wife, Darcy, Dale Hamlin and Art Hamlin.
