Jeanette H. Seitz, 69, of Boyertown, passed away at her home on Monday, May 23, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Istvan S. “Steve” Seitz, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.
She was born in Pottstown, a daughter of the late Joseph Szimhart and Helen (Puhasz) Szimhart, of Pottstown. Jeanette graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1970. Earlier in her career, she worked as a teller for National Bank of Boyertown. For the last 21 years, she was employed as a customer service representative for Drug Plastics, Boyertown, PA.
Jeanette was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She and her family were proud of the Hungarian hertitage and were members of the Hungarian Sports Club near Huff’s Church. She was devoted to her family and loved caring for them. She was also meticulous in taking care of her home and gardens.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughters: Christina Belford and husband Richard, of Boyertown and Deborah Ward, of Linfield; brother, Joseph P. Szimhart and wife Becky, of Stowe; grandsons: Charles and Alexander Kuter and Jack Ward and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeanette’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org.
