Obituary for Joan F. Snell (Keiper)
Joan F. (Keiper) Snell, 88, of Coopersburg, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Phoebe Richland Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Snell, sharing 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2013.
Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Lester E. and Carrie M. (Koch) Keiper.
Joan was a 1951 graduate of Lehighton High School. She was employed at the former Keystone Transformer Co. in Pennsburg for 20 years before retiring in 1989. Prior to that, she worked at several clothing manufacturing companies in the Upper Perkiomen Valley.
She was a member of Frieden’s United Church of Christ in Sumneytown.
Surviving are two sons, Jim Snell of Coopersburg and Mike Snell and wife, Sharon of Green Lane; three grandchildren, Zachery Snell and wife, Jen, Ashley Myers and husband, Brendan, and Nicholas Snell; and three great-grandchildren, Paisley Lynn Snell, Shelby Rose Snell and Mia Kristine Myers. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a daughter in law, Anne Snell; a granddaughter, Kristin Snell; and a brother, Bruce Keiper.
A funeral service will be at 11 AM on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041.
