Obituary for Joann M. Mensch (Interrante)

Joann M. (Interrante) Mensch, 69, of Pennsburg, passed away at home after a courageous battle with breast cancer on Friday, December 25, 2020. She was born February 6, 1951 in Norristown, PA to the late Gus and Christine (Bucelli) Interrante. She was the loving wife of Senator Robert B. Mensch, with whom she spent 48 years of marriage.

Joann was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them and her husband. She especially loved her role as a grandmother. She was also artistic and enjoyed to draw. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Surviving along with her husband, are her son, William “Billy” Mensch of Telford, PA; her grandson, Zachary Gerhart of Pennsburg, PA; and her sister, Helene Yantis and husband, Jim of Pottstown, PA. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alcina Mensch and her brother, Charles Interrante.

A viewing will be held on Friday, Jan 1, 2021 from 5 to 7 PM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. A graveside memorial service will be held the following morning, January 2, 2021, at 10 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, 1244 St Pauls Church Rd, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
