Obituary for Joyce A. Smith (Fields)
Joyce A. Smith, 78, of Green Lane, PA, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Phoebe-Richland Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Emerson M. Smith.
She was born in Stamford, CT to the late Charles B. and Mildred (Ruehmer) Fields. Joyce was employed for 45 years in a variety of jobs including her service as an EMT as part of the first crew for Trumbull EMS, Trumbull CT. After moving to PA, she worked as a home health care provider before retiring where she made an impact to many of the elderly in the area.
She is survived by her children: David C. Feldtmose and his wife Karen, of Hereford, PA and Jennifer R Lombard and her husband Fran, of Shelton, CT; grandchildren: Emily Feldtmose and wife Emma; Megan Feldtmose; Christina Lombard and Michael Lombard.
Joyce was always a good friend- willing to help anyone, anytime. She would always be seen with a smile on her face. She enjoyed her many pets, reading, crocheting, and gardening. She also enjoyed being Nana to her beloved grandchildren.
