Obituary for June F. Smoll (Fox)

June F. Smoll, 88, a lifelong resident of Hereford, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019. She was the wife of the late Harold L. Smoll, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Hereford on June 2, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Edwin J. and Mary S. (Shultz) Fox. She graduated from East Greenville High School. She worked at various places before retiring from Goshenhoppen Mutual Insurance where she worked in underwriting.

June was a lifelong member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church, where she served on the Diaconate Board. She was a Girl Scout Leader and belonged to the Soroptimist Society. During the winter, she loved downhill skiing. She also enjoy fishing, camping, and golfing with her family. Throughout the course of her life she took delight in reading, birdwatching, spending time at the ocean, and all things involving Mt. Everest. She hosted and organized many gatherings and reunions for her family.

June is survived by her children: Craig F. Smoll and his wife Susan, of Pennsburg; Kindy F. Route; and Polly F. Freed and her husband Ronald of Pennsburg; eight grandchildren: Casey, Heidi, Ray, Ben, Todd, Chad, Elyse, and Ashley; nine great grandchildren: Shea, Raeann, Lydia, Alex, Andrew, Gabriel, Jacob, Ethan, and Hannah; siblings: Lucille Jones, Goldie Graber, Arlington Pollock, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings: Florence Dean, Stanley, Earl, Austin, Curtis and Ray Fox.

Her funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11 AM at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm, PA 18070. Officiating will be Rev. Nicholas Pence. Visitation will be held at the church from 10-11 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery immediately following the services.
