Obituary for Kathleen R. Ferrizzi (Wunder)
Kathleen R. (Wunder) Ferrizzi, 66, formerly of Boyertown, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the Lutheran Home at Topton, surrounded by her loving children, after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Quakertown on August 6, 1953, she was the loving daughter of the late James F. and Ruth A. (Searle) Wunder.
Kathleen was a 1971 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and earned an associates degree in accounting from Allentown Business School.
Kathy is best known as "DJ Kathy Frizz." She learned the art of DJ'ing at the Washington Inn in Bechtelsville, PA. From there, she started her own DJ'ing business where she provided entertainment for weddings, clubs, parties, and other special events for 18 years. DJ Kathy Frizz was well known for getting anyone out on the dance floor! She worked at Kay Jewelers in the Coventry Mall for many years and also served as a councilwoman for Bechtelsville Borough in the early 1990’s.
In her free time, Kathy loved to garden, create crafts, shop, spend time at the beach and most importantly spend time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She also loved birds, dogs, and fashion.
Surviving are three children, Vanessa Ferrizzi, Laurin Ferrizzi and wife, Elizabeth, and Ryan Ferrizzi and wife, Lisa; seven grandchildren, Hailey, Hayden, Noah, Isabella, Victoria, Benjamin and Niko; a brother, James F. Wunder II; and two sisters, Mary Bauman and husband, Roy, and Renae Martin and husband, Bill.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2019 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Gil Vinning officiating.
