Obituary for Kathryn P. Ernst (Frith)
Kathryn P. Ernst, 83, of Norristown, passed away at her home on Sunday, February 26, 2023. She was the wife of Robert C. Ernst, Sr.
Born in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Norris M. and Rebecca (Lobb) Rigg. After graduation from Norristown High School, she worked as a secretary for a constable’s office and later as a medical secretary for Soffer Eyecare Center for thirty years before retiring.
She was a member of Christ U.C.C., Norristown, PA. Kathryn loved making every family gathering special. She also loved traveling, getaways and her grandpuppy, Bella.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, she is survived by three sons: Robert C. Jr., of Perkiomenville; Jaime L. and wife Patricia, of Greencastle; and Donald J. and wife Lisa, of Limerick; brother, James E. Frith and wife Mary, of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren: Matthew, Brandon, Joshua, Jacob, Cheyenne and Samantha. She was preceded in death by siblings: Donald and Francis Frith and Bessie McDonnell.
