Obituary for Kathy Ann Bennett (Ostrom)
Kathy Ann (Ostrom) Bennett, 59, of East Greenville, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at home surrounded by her family after a battling with cancer. She was the loving wife of the late Albert F. Bennett, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage before his passing in June of 2020.
Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Betty (Siletta) and Hank Mertz and the late Kenneth Ostrom.
Kathy was a graduate of Norristown High School and then graduated from Sacred Heart Nursing School as an LPN. She was employed with KenCrest in Pottstown for many years up until her cancer diagnosis. Prior to that, she was working at Parkhouse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Royersford. Her giving spirit made her a wonderful nurse and trusted colleague everywhere she was employed. She left a lasting impression on her patients and made many friends throughout her nursing career.
Not only did she give great care to her patients, she was always sacrificing her needs for the good of her family. Her kind and giving spirit, made it easy for her to always help the family and friends in her life. Some of her fondest memories were spent at the beach or spent with her sons traveling for wrestling or football. She was very active in all three of her sons sports endeavors. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Surviving are her three sons Adam Bennett, Derek Bennett and wife, Debbie, and Jared Bennett and wife, Lysh; three grandchildren she loved dearly, Drew, Arianna and Raina; a brother, Michael Ostrom and wife, Michelle; and many beloved cousins and friends. She also loved her two dogs, Star and Kodi.
