Obituary for Kenneth R. "Kenny" Nace

Kenneth R. “Kenny” Nace, 81, of Lake Harmony, PA, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was surrounded by the love of his wife and two daughters. The beloved husband of Linda J. (Neiffer) Nace, he proudly looked toward their 60th anniversary celebration this June.

Born in Woxall, PA, Kenny was the son of the late Harvey and Maggie (Smith) Nace. A presser at the Sumneytown Pants Shop for 21 years, he later spent 26 years working in the maintenance department for Harleysville Insurance before retiring in 2003. Always tinkering, he kept himself busy with odds-and-end jobs, refinishing furniture, and a multitude of wood-working projects. Along with his wife, Kenny was an avid collector of beer memorabilia and a beloved member of the association of Beer Can Collectors of America. An antiquing enthusiast, he frequented flea markets searching for obscure treasurers, eager to report on his latest bargain.

Kenny also found enjoyment in fishing – especially ice fishing – trains, and listening to old-time country music. Yet above all, his greatest passion in life was his family. He took pride in being a husband, father, and the very best “Pop-Pop.” His fondest memories and time spent was always in the company of the ones he loved most, often by a well-tended fire, animatedly recounting stories and sharing photos.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Audrey Reed and husband, Terry of Red Hill, PA and Lori Canfield and husband, Tim of Telford, PA; five grandchildren, Shawna, Austin and wife, Alexandra, Trevor and wife, Lauren, Nikki and Ryan; one great-grandson, Silas; a sister, Jean Mennitto; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved four-legged companion, Bently.

He is predeceased by siblings, Woodrow Nace, Beula Grubb, Arlene Culp and Richard Nace.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. A time of greeting the family and sharing memories will be held from 9 AM to 10:45 AM. You may also share memories and leave condolences at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to The Upper Perkiomen Ambulance Association, 2199 E Buck Rd, Pennsburg, PA 18073 or at www.upperperkambulance.org.
