Obituary for Lawrence S. Moser
Lawrence S. Moser, 92, of Frederick Living and formerly of Bally, PA, passed away on January 1, 2022. He was the widower of Nancy E. (Bernhard) Moser.
He was born on the family farm in Niantic, a son of the late Cyrus and Estella (Stengel) Moser. Lawrence served his country in the Army during the Korean War. After his return, he worked in production for Firestone Tire for 30 years until the plant closed in Pottstown. He also did painting and paperhanging on the side and worked for Bauman’s Apple Butter and Cidery for twenty-five years before retiring.
He was a member of New Hanover Lutheran Church and was a life member of Bally, Sassamansville and Liberty Fire Companies.
He is survived by his children: Jeffrey Moser and wife Bobbi; Susan Kehs and husband Martin; Donna Kehs and husband Charles; Diane Houck and husband Bruce; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters: Florence Latshaw and Edna Kulp and brothers: Jonathan, Henry, Norman, Chester, Walter, and Harvey.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Barto, PA 19504. Calling time is from 9:00-10:45 AM at the church. Masks will be required for attendance. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
