Obituary for Lee A. Derr

Lee A. Derr, 65, of Seisholtzville, PA, passed away from a sudden illness on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Barbara (Eroh) Derr, with whom he just celebrated 40 years of marriage last June.

He was born in Allentown, a son of the late Harold L. and Ella (Boyer) Derr. He was a 1973 graduate or Upper Perkiomen High School. Lee was a machinist for Superior Metals in Pottstown. He was also member of the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corp from 1972-1976. He then transitioned to the Reading Buccaneers Alumni Corps where he remained currently active. Lee also coached for the Upper Perk Braves Youth Wrestling Program and was a PIAA wrestling official for over twenty years. He also loved bowling in area leagues in the Tri-County.

In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by his son Brian L. Derr and his wife Vicki, of Coopersburg; granddaughters: Samantha, Sabrina and Hailey; great-grandchildren: Adrian and Anthony.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 6-9 PM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. **Due to the current pandemic restrictions, guests may be limited to small numbers of people in the funeral home at a time to pay brief respects to the family.
