Obituary for Lori A. Speilman (Bush)
Lori A. Speilman, of Perkiomenville, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, September 26, 2022. She was 59 years old. She was the wife of Michael C. Speilman.
Lori was born in Pottstown where she was a daughter of the late Ralph E. and Shirley (Yergey) Bush. Lori was a member of the 1980 Class of Boyertown High School where she was a senior captain of the Boyertown Area Marching Unit, Twirling Core. Lori’s greatest joy was being a devoted wife and loving mother to her three sons. She enjoyed watching her sons play baseball and keeping the scorebook whenever she was able. She volunteered at their school and participated in the New Hanover Elementary PTA. Lori also taught Preschool at the Boyertown Area YMCA and was a longtime volunteer with Boyertown Midget Baseball League. Lori held multiple positions with the Baseball League and served as league president for 12 years. Lori touched many players lives in her years with the BMBL. She always made it a point to ensure that every player was as special and important as the other.
In addition to her husband of 37 years, she is survived by her sons: Alex and wife Janine; Todd and wife Kelsey; Cole and wife Ashley; grandchildren: Mason, Layla, Kamryn and Ava; sister: Karen Lutz and husband Chris; nephew: Jason Bush and wife Becky; and great nephews: Cade and Connor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 11-1 PM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. A service celebrating her life will begin at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested in Lori’s memory to be made to Boyertown Midget Baseball League (BMBL) by mailing to PO Box 34, Boyertown, PA 19512.
