Obituary for Lorraine M. Hillegass (Wronowski))
Lorraine M. (Wronowski) Hillegass, formerly of Powder Valley, PA, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Legend of Allentown Nursing Center in Macungie, PA. She was 91 years old. She was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Hillegass.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Charlotte (MacMurray) Wronowski, Sr.
Lorraine was the first sewing machine operator to be hired at Knoll, Inc. in East Greenville. She worked there for 60 years, retiring in 2008 at 78 years old.
In her earlier years, Lorraine and her husband, Lloyd, enjoyed bowling team competition with Knoll employees. She also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and shopping especially at Hess Brothers. In recent years, she spent her leisure time playing cards.
She will be dearly missed by her two children, Eugene Hillegass and wife, Susan of Pennsburg, PA and Karen Temprovich and husband, Edward of Tamaqua, PA; her six grandchildren, Clinton, Kyle, Christopher, Eddie, Elizabeth and Sara; numerous great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, Yvonne E. Stiehl of Tennessee and Bernadette Walaschek and husband, Gary of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by four siblings, Shirley Reith and Paul, Roger and Joseph Wronowski.
