Obituary for Lorraine A. Letting (Shanosk)
Lorraine Alice (Shanosk) Letting, 92, widow of Albert Letting, formerly of Boyertown, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Pennsburg Manor.
She was born in Philadelphia on May 3, 1927 to the late Carl and Clara (Pfund) Shanosk.
Lorraine was a 1945 graduate of Masbaum Vocational High School in Philadelphia and went on to do office work for a distribution company for many years.
She loved singing in the First Presbyterian Church Choir in Ocean City, NJ, loved to sew, sit on the beach in Ocean City, Nj and Florida on the Gulf and feed her family many meals.
Surviving are her four children: Lorraine Beck and husband, Kenneth; James Letting and wife, Emilie; Albert Letting III and wife, Pilo; and Steven Letting and wife, Helen; 12 grandchildren: Brandon; Jennifer; Eric; Danielle; Jamie; Mark; Jason; Joy; Joshua; Alexander; Stephanie; and Rachel; and 22 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother, Carl Shanosk and baby brother, Elmer Shanosk.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Ron Coulton officiating.
