Obituary for Lorraine M. "Rainy" Yerger

Lorraine M. Yerger (known as Rainy to many) 62, of East Greenville, PA, passed away on November 12, 2021 at Harborview Rehabilitation Center in Lansdale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Robert B. Sr. and Helen P. (Yost) Yerger.

Lorraine was born in East Greenville PA, a graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School, and a lifelong member of Most Blessed Sacrament in Bally, PA.

Lorraine grew up on the family farm where she lived her entire life. She always kept a watchful eye from one of the windows facing the road way to see who was coming and what was going on around the farm. She helped with taking care of the many family pets over the years, as well as the farm animals. She enjoyed attending Sunday breakfasts at the local churches and firehouses. Prior to her health issues, Lorraine’s favorite things to do were listening to country music, doing word & number search puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles, small crafts, and watching Wheel of Fortune. She loved going for haircuts with Trudy to Lisa’s hair salon which always included stopping for a treat afterwards. Each year she looked forward to having a cheesesteak with fries for her birthday and Christmas from her brother, Jimmy. She also liked to walk down to MaryAnn’s house and help with baking, watch a movie, or spend time with her nieces doing puzzles and playing card games. Lorraine was always a big help when a family member needed a helping hand or care. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family, especially during the Holidays.

Surviving are her five siblings, Robert Yerger Jr. and wife, Theresa “Terry” of East Greenville, James Yerger of East Greenville, Trudy Pazzelli and companion, Paul Mauger of Boyertown, Mary Ann Barbacow and husband, James of East Greenville, and Christopher Yerger Sr of East Greenville; nieces and nephews Jason Wentzel, Eric Wentzel, Elisha Yerger, Nicole Bortz, Danielle Berger, Christopher Yerger Jr., and great nephew Connor Wentzel. She was predeceased by her brother Earl Yerger.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Montgomery County SPCA.

At the convenience of the family, services will be private at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA. You may offer condolences and share memories at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
