Obituary for Louise C. Rauch (Arch)
Louise C. (Arch) Rauch, 93, formerly of Fox Chase and Pennsburg, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the Philadelphia Protestant Home. She was the loving wife of the late, Henry J. Rauch, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Katharina (Graser) Arch.
Louise was a graduate of the first graduating class of St. Hubert’s Catholic High School in Philadelphia.
Before becoming a wonderful homemaker and raising her children, she worked as a bookkeeper for James Morrissey Construction Co. in Philadelphia for many years. She was a longtime member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church before moving to Pennsburg and she loved to get her hair done, do puzzles and cook, especially German food.
Surviving are three daughters, Theresa, wife of John Morton of Philadelphia, Susan, wife of Albert Matejik of Perkiomenville and Sharon, wife of Michael Matejik of Middletown, DE; grandmother to seven grandchildren; Oma to 12 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Walter Arch.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn St., Philadelphia, PA 19111. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the church prior to the service. Interment will be held privately at St. John Neumann Cemetery.
