Obituary for Mabel E. Litschke (Essig)
Mabel E. (Essig) Litschke, 95, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Lutheran Home at Topton where she had been residing. She was the loving wife of the late Richard R. Litschke.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late John and Esther (Reidenbach) Essig. She is also preceded in death by her brother, William Essig.
Mabel was first employed with the former Royal Manufacturing in Emmaus before becoming employed with US Seating in Topton for many years. She later worked and retired from Great American Knitting Mill.
She was a member of Salem Bible Church in Macungie and enjoyed playing bingo and being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She will be dearly missed by her son, Phillip Litschke, long-time companion of the late Sheila Long; her granddaughter, Tammy Litschke and her great-grandson, Zachary Scampton.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
